My UX design process from start to finish
My User Centered Design Framework
My approach centers on deeply understanding users, defining clear problems, and aligning design decisions with business goals to craft purposeful, intuitive solutions. While each project and user journey brings its own nuances, this framework reflects the core design thinking process I follow which is grounded in research, collaboration, testing, and continuous refinement to create meaningful, human-centered experiences.
My Design Thinking Process Outline
I navigate each project through six foundational phases that define my design approach.
01
Discovery & Research
Goal: Understand the business goals, target market, and context.
This foundation allows me to make informed design decisions rooted in real insights rather than assumptions.
02
Framing the Right Problem
Goal: Translate research findings into a clear problem statement and design direction.
The next step is to make sense of what the data/research mean and transforms them into direction.
03
Ideation — Exploring Possibilities
Goal: Generate multiple possible solutions to the defined problem.
This is the creative exploration phase where ideas are generated, shared, and challenged among my creative team.
04
Design & Prototyping — Bringing Ideas to Life
Goal: Turn concepts into tangible, visible, testable interfaces.
In this phase, concepts start taking shape. I transform insights, collaboration results into detailed design and prototyping.
05
Creative Collaboration & Content Refinement
Goal: Review and refine copy, hierarchy, and visual flow
This phase brings together the full creative team to ensure that every design not only looks exceptional but also communicates with clarity, consistency, and purpose.
06
Design to Development Alignment
Goal: Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate design handoff and execution.
In this phase I collaborate closely with developers to ensure a seamless handoff and execution.
Design in Motion: My Process at a Glance
step 1
Discovery & Research
Goal: Understand the business goals, target market, and context.
I start by aligning with leadership to uncover the project’s purpose, business goals that we would like to meet, and review success metrics from past campaign. This includes learning about the main goal of the campaign, technical constraints, and desired outcomes. From there, I shift focus to deliverables and possible idea on costumer journey desired.
The outcome of this phase is a clear understanding of the problem space what users truly need, where gaps exist, and how design can bridge the two. It also sets the tone for collaboration across teams, ensuring that every decision moving forward is grounded in evidence, empathy, and shared understanding.
In this phase I collaborate closely with creative strategists, marketing managers, product owners, Creative team (writer+ Designer) and researches.

Step 2
Framing the Right Problem
Goal: Translate research findings into a clear problem statement and design direction.
This stage is about focus and clarity. I work on narrowing broad observations into actionable insights that guide design decisions. I ask questions and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners such as product managers, marketing strategists, and developers to ensure we’re all aligned on the problem statement and the measurable outcomes we want to achieve. This step we define how to map the creative strategy
Key steps:
- User journey mapping to pinpoint friction points and emotional highs or lows
- Experience visioning to set guiding principles and design objectives
- Problem statements or “How Might We” questions to reframe challenges as opportunities
step 3
Ideation — Exploring Possibilities
Goal: Generate multiple possible solutions to the defined problem.
With a solid understanding of the problem, I move into ideation—the creative exploration phase where ideas are generated, shared, and challenged. The goal is to explore multiple directions before narrowing down to the most viable and impactful concepts.
This phase I collaborate, brainstorm with content strategist and peers to visualize possible approaches that will deliver the best experience.
Ideation allows me to explore bold directions and then focus on the ideas that best unite creativity, user needs, and business goals.

Step 4
Design & Prototyping Bringing Ideas to Life
Goal: Turn concepts into tangible, visible, testable interfaces.
The focus here is to create visual clarity, consistency, and interaction flow that align with brand identity and user expectations. I work closely with creative peers to ensure design feasibility and scalability.
At this stage, feedback loops are essential. I iterate quickly refining layouts, visual hierarchy, and interactions based on peer feedback to ensure the experience feels both intuitive and visually engaging. These process is done before sharing the prototyping with creative team ( Writers and strategist).
Key steps:
- Apply design systems and component libraries for consistency.
- Accessibility check and review
- Interactive prototypes in Figma

step 5
Creative Collaboration & Content Refinement
Goal: Review and refine copy, hierarchy, and visual flow
This phase brings together the full creative team to ensure that every design not only looks exceptional but also communicates with clarity, consistency, and purpose. Collaboration with writers, copywriters, content strategists, and compliance partners is essential to refine both the message and the presentation before final delivery.
During this stage, we review and refine copy, hierarchy, and visual flow—making sure that every element supports accessibility standards, aligns with brand guidelines, and meets legal and compliance requirements.
This step is key. I collaborate closely with writer and content strategist to adjust copy and modify layout.

Here is where the design, tone, and message come together to form a cohesive narrative that guides users naturally through their experience.

Step 6
Design to Development Alignment
Goal: Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate design handoff and execution.
Once the design direction is validated, I collaborate closely with developers and product managers to ensure a seamless handoff and execution.
My involvement continues through elevation preparation, ensuring every element from micro interactions to content hierarchy matches the user intent and maintains brand consistency. I test digital experiences and validate functionality before elevating.
Key steps:
- Annotate Figma file for developers
- Ensure assets are in the creative folder
- Provide link with prototype to developers
